A comfortable, energy-efficient, and spacious home that can be expanded in the future: LoftHome. This sustainable house is largely constructed from biobased materials with a timber frame structure (HSB). The design focuses on simplicity, multifunctionality, and future expandability. The layout of the house is efficient and clear, featuring a compact service strip on one side, which maximizes the living space. Various articulations in the facade reflect the internal spaces and functions, as well as the location for the intended expansion of the living area. Robust and natural materials are used interchangeably, with the masonry providing a sturdy base. Inside, a mezzanine in the living area contributes to the spacious loft experience of the house, where the staircase is part of a central block. The contrast in finishes in terms of color and materialization allows the spaces to visually merge.
